HSBC-Arcenciel water conversation project
SES was contracted for 3 years to implement water conservation activities in six public schools that included the following tasks:
1- Making use of rainwater by the designing, installing and testing a rainwater harvesting systems made up of connecting the school's drains to two 20,000-liter rainwater tanks as well as a sand filtration system to clean the water before being used to flush the toilets of the school;
2- Design and Installation of wastewater treatment systems that would replace the existing septic tank systems, which can make use of the treated water for irrigation while preventing further groundwater contamination of the surrounding landscape from effluent discharge; and
3- Installation of water saving fixtures such as faucet aerators throughout the schools’ bathrooms and kitchens.
4- Design and conduct awareness campaign on Water management and water conservation
